Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the film, commenting that he cannot recall "one day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to prevent the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a security hold on the cases to restrict the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Fallout and Commentary

After the killings, public individuals offered different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the critics last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "disturbing" and remarked they revealed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an adviser ought to have acted when the decision to comment on the death was made.
