Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official statement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down in accordance with standard protocol and all passengers, such as Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft ferrying a top government figure has encountered technical problems.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to head back to Washington after suffering a mechanical problem.
